All You Ever Wanted to Know About Insurance

Insurance Myths (Part II)

This is a continuation of the previous post titled "Insurance Myths." There are a great number of myths, most of which are false, about insurance. This post will shed some light on some of these insurance myths, hopefully saving you time and money.

You can save money by using someone else's name and just being a named driver.

This is a myth that can land you in a lot of trouble. Insurance companies can figure out when this is happening. In addition, it is a form of fraud, which is a crime. If you have a claim and insurance finds out that there is fraud, you may not be covered. It is simply best to be honest in these matters.

You can insure a vehicle with more than one insurer.

Although this can sometimes be possible, it is practically never suggested. The only time this might be suggested is in extremely unusual cases. If you think this could be for you, please call us to discuss whethere it is. You can reach us at 800-851-1286.

Auto insurance is not need in some states.

This is blatantly false. All fifty states in the United States require you to have car insurance. It is against the law to drive without insurance. Each state has bare minimum requirement. You can call us if you have any questions about this.
